Andorra Ski Resorts

Although Andorra is small there are a number of ski resorts offering skiing holidays: Soldeu and El Tarter, Pas de la Casa, Arinsal and Pal and Ordino. Below is some information on each of these ski resorts.

Soldeu & El Tarter

Arguably the best known area in Andorra for skiing, Soldeu and El Tarter (next door villages) are lively, good value for money, modern and friendly, with great skiing and snowboarding facilities.

Soldeu is ideally suited for skiers at beginner and intermediate level. There are however some more advanced slopes suitable for more the more seasoned skiers. Snowboarders are equally welcomed on the Soldeu slopes. The experience of snowboarding is enhanced by the half pipe.

Arinsal and Pal

Arinsal and Pal are situated next to each other and are best suited for beginner and intermediate level skiers. They are often the primary chioce for first-timers who later progress onto other areas such as Pas de la Casa and Soldeu as their skill levels and confidence grow.

Arinsal is actually a living and working village rather than just a seasonal ski resort and so has many residents making the village a little more interesting than it's resort only counterparts with a first-hand view of Andorran life.

The capital Andorra la Vella is easily reached using public transport, and allows visitors access to duty free shopping and department stores.

Snowboearders are also welcome at Arinsal and there is a very good freestyle area.

Because of Ordino's location and situation it enjoys large amounts of high quality snow.
